As a martial-arts enthusiast, can you see the benefits of being able to snap on a good, strong wrist lock or joint control? Maybe even a controlling arm bar?
You could control your opponent or attacker with a medium amount of pressure. You'd be able to stop some fights even before they started. Other encounters would end, when you decide transition your hits and kicks into a wrist lock.
There are a lot of martial arts programs on the net that claim to teach it all -- including wrist and joint locks. Most of the information offered either doesn't work, or the advice is too basic (and not complete enough) to offer any practical application. You just can't make the controls work, based on the information they provide.
As the editor of one of the longest-running martial-arts ezines on the Internet, I wish I could tell you how many times readers have written in complaining about the hundreds (and even thousands) of dollars they have wasted on these martial systems.
Of course, martial artists don't just write in to complain ... it's usually accompanied by very nice praise for one of the martial-arts books that I wrote.
Readers are especially pleased with the information offered in Wrist Locks: From Protecting Yourself to Becoming an Expert.
If you have never experimented with wrist locks you should definitely get
this book. If you know some locks but don't use them, this book will inspire
you to practice them and make them work.
Easy and enjoyable to read, the author's enthusiasm is infectious. You get
some good moves and tips, plus plenty of ideas to think about and figure
out for yourself.
You will definitely not be disappointed by this book.

"Keith Pascal presents locking information in a light, easy manner, which is

There is also an entire chapter on reversing unfamiliat locks -- you learn to "feel" where to move.
The patterns in the book start you on the road to flowing from one wrist lock to another -- automatically.
You'll combine a nose control with a solid lock, to quickly control someone to the ground -- it even works without the lock.
You are about to discover wrist locks from a variety of styles -- ju jitsu, chin na, aikido, kali, and more.
What's great about this is that your technique will NOT be style specific. This makes your techniques and movements confusing for your opponent to handle. If he (or she) is unfamiliar with the lock, you be able to more easily exert control. (And remember, unfamiliar locks won't bother you, at all.)
In all, you get over 220 pages of high-powered, wrist-lock instruction. Take a look at the table of contents:
2. What's in a Name? (making sense of all the styles that incorporate wrist locks)
